Cutting Cold with Water
Consider the advantage of having DMD Manufacturing cutting your
product with water. We can handle a wide variety of materials,
from light gauge sheet to 2" plate, with our abrasive waterjet,
and cutting with water offers advantages not achievable with
other methods of cutting or machining. Cutting cold with water
allows us to cut nearly any design without inducing any mechanical
stress into the material, generating a heat affected zone or
thermal distortion of the work piece. This cold cutting process
benefits many post operations such as: taping, milling, welding,
painting and powder coating. Cutting with water is also a clean
process resulting in a finished process that leaves a smooth
satin-like edge without scale or oil.
